CCFA Mission: To cure Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases.
It's painful to watch someone we love suffer.
We are here in South Florida working hard as volunteers because someone we know (and probably love a lot) suffers from Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis. Our work to raise money is not glamorous or has celebrity endorsements. Our friends or family suffer the physical and emotional assaults that come from the symptoms all the time. More often than not, they look "normal" and only those who are close see they are suffering.
What kind of day will unravel...What stressers will bring on the pain...How can I get through work or school...When will I be forced to have another surgery...Can't anyone help me through this suffering? All questions unanswered for the patient, heartache for the family to sit and watch and be so helpless. So, we are working passionately to support CCFA so they can find a cure for these insidious autoimmune disorders.
